home sweet home

my sister lost her entire house in a fire over a year ago. the new house is finally done and she has moved in....yay!!! we designed the whole thing together which was a lot of fun. it was a very stressful and traumatic year for her but it is so exciting to finally see the new house completed.

my nine-year old son, max, has been obsessed with mustaches and bow ties for several years now. not sure where it comes from but i love it! he would think nothing of donning a fake mustache and a suit and walking around our local mall. wish i could be that carefree. mustaches and bow ties have also been a big craze all over the internet for a while now...

lily's 6th birthday

my daughter, lily, turned six yesterday. since sugarlily was named after her (coined by a dear friend of mine), we had a baking party, of course, but we made everything BUT cookies. all the girls had a great time making chocolate dipped strawberries, fruit tarts, mini apple pies, chocolate candies, strawberry jam and decorating cupcakes. take a peek...
